I'm currently spending more time developing my still life work, particularly those with strong and contrasting light, and especially featuring glass or reflective surfaces which I treat as a challenge. This image is of a bottle of wine and glass under artificial light with a coaster in the foreground. The painting is larger than my other still lifes and again it was partly to challenge myself to paint highly detailed work on a bigger scale.
