Biography
Monika is a professional artist and author specialising in Japanese brushwork and paper crafts with a BA in visual arts, PG in Asian art and MA by project in Fine art. Monika is originally from Italy but has been living and working in the UK since 2004. Exhibiting work internationally and publishing 5 books on art and crafts, specifically origami and brush painting. Monika's research is on gesture and the line expressed through the use of various materials based on the mind/body relationship. Now working in Ipswich as a freelance artist involved in various community projects and commissions.
