Each shard signifies a moment in time, simultaneously distinct and indivisible, a unique event in its own right but equally; just a fraction of my much larger personal narrative. Thus the cardboard fragments feel like photographs and the structure in its entirety a kind of scrap book; a monument to the memories I will never remember.
