Pretty pink and green hydrangea flowers against a cosmic blue backdrop through which passes a blue butterfly. My spirits always lift when I catch sight of a common blue butterfly so I simply had to paint one! Hydrangea petals make me think of butterflies so I merged the two in this composition. I used a heavy grade watercolor paper for this one so I could really saturate it thus creating gorgeous vivid colors.
