For this portrait I decided to introduce a graphic, illustrative element. The background pattern has been created in the Bauhaus design style, adding colour and form to the overall image. The portrait was created using polychromos colour pencils and some white ink, background pattern was made using ink pencils, all sitting on thick 220 gsm brown Kraft card.
