Artist Profile for Tom Bristol
Tom Full Time Professional
Biography
Tom is a pen and ink artist and works on paper primarily depicting strange figurative characters. He uses these characters as a means to vicariously illustrate his deepest fears and inhibitions. The themes he tends to focus on are loneliness, isolation and a subversion of classic folk tale iconographies. Tom's main influences are Edward Gorey, Remi Wyart and Laurie Lipton and the entire pop surrealist movement. He adores drawing and creating of any kind and wishes to keep expanding on the world he creates in as many different mediums as possible. Tom has worked for both private individuals and companies and loves being able to push his work and boundaries of what he can achieve.
