Biography
Steve was born in Coventry in 1960 and was taught painting at the University of Wales Aberystwyth by David Tinker, graduating with an MA in the early ‘80’s, before continuing his studies at the Courtauld Institute of Art. He has taught Fine Art on a part-time basis at colleges and universities for over thirty years, as well as pursuing a career as a painter and, intermittently, musician. He has twice won the Wales Open Art Exhibition and has also been a prizewinner in Manchester Academy and Hunting Art Prize exhibitions. He exhibits regularly in solo and group exhibitions in London and regional galleries. His paintings are held in many private and corporate collections and the permanent collection of the Contemporary Art Society of Wales.
