From Manchester, now based in Lyon, Paul is a young British artist. The subjects of his self driven art and the designs take their inspiration from two things: The natural world, with a propensity to depict lesser know vulnerable species of animal. More recently Paul has been turning his hand to landscape oil painting, trying to capture the essence of the breathtaking views he has been lucky enough to see whilst walking in the countryside at home and abroad. Paul's second source of inspiration is the socio-political climate of the world, simply put, shining a light on topics he feels are important or under-discussed. For example 'Standing Rock Madonna' a large scale oil painting, depicts a Native American woman of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe. The Sioux tribe were instrumental in preventing the Keystone Oil Pipeline's construction in Dakota, a structure that would have put at great risk on the delicate ecosystem it sought to bisect. Constantly trying to add strings to his bow, Paul has been involved in producing wedding illustrations for couples looking to add a unique touch to their wedding favours and stationary. Focussing mostly on the stunning venues themselves he produces a varied selection of commissions and has the ability to screen print these images onto a huge range of textiles.
