Biography
I live and work in Edinburgh where I have been for the last 24 years, with my family David, Rosie and Luke. I am especially interested in developing figure and portrait painting, developing use of colour, light and tone. I work mainly in oils, although use pencil and charcoal regularly for studies and smaller work. I have studied at Leith School of Art on their Figure painting and drawing course for the last two years, 2017 - 2019. I received the Friends of Leith School of Art prize and Figure Course prize in June 2019. I now spend the time painting, focussing on developing portraiture in oils. In my spare time I work for Edinburgh Council as a Lifelong learning Development officer.
