Biography
Born, bred and studied in Glasgow, Christine studied Contemporary Art Practise and acquired a diploma in this subject. She has a love and passion for faces, portraiture being her favourite topic as she enjoys bringing out a persons character through a painted portrait. Christine can create single and multiple portraits with an interesting yet realistic style and particularly enjoys experimenting with colour and texture. Christine's inspiration comes mainly from the character and depth of each individual, Scottish history and contemporary culture and politics. Art is a way of life for her which results in continuously creating art in many different ways to convey and portray social and emotional ideas. As somebody who has always dreamt of a career in art, Christine is looking to expand her experience in the art world and eventually go on to complete an honours degree, but in the meantime, she is focusing on selling art and creating work for commissions and exhibitions.
