Biography
Ashley's style comes from a love for geometric abstraction and suprematism, and he explores illusionistic space whilst generally retaining a recognisable composition. There is a line Ashley likes to explore about what can be hidden and what can be revealed- but this is not exclusive in his work. Having been self-taught initially in his spare time, Ashley made the decision to go back to education to focus and develop his skills and ideas. He has won awards and had several residencies and exhibitions but his main aim is of that to paint and share his passion with others. Ashley is open to commission work of almost any subject and will generally work from photos you provide, yet can provide imagery for you depending on the brief. If you are unsure then Ashley is more than happy to work with you to create what it is you are looking for. Ashley stretches his own canvas' so can create a size that specifically suits your needs/space. And whilst generally a painter, Ashley is open to negotiations for other specific works and mediums.
